Exploring the Quality of Multiple-Choice Question Type of Test Items in Information and Communication Technology Using Item Analysis

The study explored the quality of multiple-choice question types test items in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) using item analysis. was an exploratory type where secondary data collected analysed. made up ten (10) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) on ICT instrument. Thirty learners’ instruments were sampled. analysis procedure included reliability coefficient, coefficient variation, difficulty level, discrimination index, distractor revealed that had a low-reliability power class is homogenous. It also found per cent (10⁒) highly appropriate, fifty (50⁒) needed revision, forty (40⁒) to be discarded. some distractors not appropriate hence review while others need replaced. was, therefore, recommended should embrace race by teachers since it will foster effectiveness efficiency carry out their duties teaching learning.
